French Music Workshops for ages 3 to 10 years old
Introduce your child to French through music and movement.
La Musique et Moi workshop is a playful introduction to French vocabulary through hands-on exploration of percussion instruments! Students will learn about different types of percussion instruments, describe sounds, create rhythms, and sing a song in French together. The workshop is taught in French and English and open to students of all levels.
The firs workshop, for 3-5 year olds is at 11am.
The second, for 6-10 year olds, is at 1pm.
Each workshop will be themed around a different work of classical music: Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf (Pierre et le Loup), Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of Animals (La Carnaval des Animaux), and Tchaikovsky’s the Nutcracker (Casse-Noisette).

Get ready to sing and play together at the Alliance Francaise with Musique et Moi! Our workshops on April 20th will explore les Chansons et Comptines Francaises (nursery rhymes)! Parents and students 5 years old and under are encouraged to attend our 11:00-12:30 session together for hands-on learning and music-making. Our 1:00-2:30 workshop for 6-10 year olds will dive into French songs and games tailored just for them. We're excited to continue learning French through music with you!
