The DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) are official diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify foreign candidates’ proficiency in French.
There are no entry requirements for any of the exams; candidates can take the examination at the level of their choosing.
The exams are divided into two parts: (1) listening comprehension, written production and reading comprehension, in a written exam, (2) speaking and oral interaction are tested in a one-on-one exam, scheduled separately from the written exam, generally after 4pm or on another day.
A B2 user has a degree of independence that allows him/her to construct arguments to defend his/her opinion, explain his/her
viewpoint and negotiate. At this level, the candidate has a degree of fluency and spontaneity in regular interactions and is capable of
correcting his/her own mistakes.
