The Alliance Française de La Nouvelle-Orléans follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) for language acquisition progression. In each of our leveled courses, we use the Cosmopolite books by Hachette. We sell them individually or as a bundle with both the textbook and workbook. Both are comprehensive, focusing on French reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The textbook is used in class, while the workbook is used for homework. Each come with transcriptions and answer keys.
This innovative French learning tool immerses you in real-life situations shared by French speakers worldwide. It adapts to your pace with six double-page spreads per chapter, taking an inductive approach to language learning. Explore authentic resources, tackle captivating class projects, and gain global insights. "Cosmopolite" enriches each chapter with "Cultures" lessons, multimedia resources, and workbooks with transcripts and answer booklets. The student's books give access to the "parcours digital" which offers self-correction exercises to accompany the course material. The interactive student's book includes the coursebook, workbook and all the audio and video material.
