Honoring the Roots: A Living Language of Louisiana

Join cultural leader and educator Herbert Wiltz for an interactive workshop on Louisiana Creole, one of the region’s most powerful and often misunderstood languages.This session offers participants:

  • An introduction to the structure, sounds, and expressions of Louisiana Creole
  • Discussion of the social and historical contexts that shaped the language
  • Stories from those who speak, teach, and keep Creole alive today
