Mon-Thu 10 :00 AM to 6:00 PM
Fri 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? DO YOU HAVE PARKING?

We are located within the Lower Garden District between St. Charles Ave. and Prytania St.
Our address is:
1519 Jackson Ave.
New Orleans, LA 70130

The Alliance does not have a parking lot; however, there is ample free street parking along Jackson Ave. and Prytania St. Be sure not to block driveways or fire hydrants!
Public transportation: We are located one block from the Jackson Ave. stop along the St. Charles Streetcar and along the 91 Jackson-Esplanade bus route. (RTA)
In addition, bike racks are available near the front of the building.

HOW DO I DETERMINE MY CLASS LEVEL?

If you have never taken French, we invite you to register for our Introduction or A1.1 beginner classes. If you already know or speak some French, we recommend you take our free placement test. One of our instructors will then contact you in order to find the best class for you, based on your needs and availability.

DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE LESSONS OR TUTORING?

Oui! We offer private as well as semi-private tutoring. These classes can be taught on-site, off-site, or online whenever you are available. These classes are also offered for children.

WHAT ARE THE LIBRARY HOURS?

The library is open: Mon-Thur: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Fri: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Sat: 10:00 AM to 12:00 pm

WHO HAS ACCESS TO THE MATERIALS IN THE LIBRARY?

Everyone has access to our library, but only members of the Alliance Française de La Nouvelle-Orléans can borrow materials from the library and the Mediathèque.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SOCIAL ACTIVITIES WHERE I CAN PRACTICE MY FRENCH?

In addition to classes, many of the cultural events sponsored by the Alliance Française de La Nouvelle-Orléans will help you meet people with similar interests practice French in a casual, relaxing environment. We also offer many social events and workshops, many entirely in French.
