Our Instructors

Martine BURTAIRE- Martine is from Paris and she has a DUFLE.

Roxane CORON- Roxane is from Belgium and has a degree in Roman Philology and a master’s in Français langue étrangère (FLE). She worked for a year in Italy for a year, for five years in Vietnam as a teacher and educational advisor, and in Baton Rouge as an educational attaché.  Since 2006, she has been a teacher at the high school liaison WBI at Haynes academy.

Nathalie LULLIER- Nathalie was born in Paris and has lived in the United States for almost ten years, including 5 years in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she started teaching French. Since arriving in New Orleans in 2012, she has worked at Lycée Français. She loves art, music and riding her bike. She thinks she’s in the right place.

Sandrine VIGOUROUX- Sandrine is from Normandy, in the west of France. She has a master’s in History and in International Relations. She also has a DAEFLE. She has been living in New Orleans since 2007. In 2009, after having worked at the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, she joined the team of teachers at AFNO, while maintaining her “bookkeeping company.” She likes reading, cooking, gardening, and photography, and she especially likes having time with her 17-month-old son.

Lise PINTO- Lise is from the French region of Champagne. She was an English teacher for 4 years, before she decided to make use of her degree in FLE in Lafourche, where she has now taught FLES for 7 years.  Currently, she is an immersion teacher at Hynes.

Cécile OLIVIERI – Cécile is from Paris. She worked as a French teacher at the French Alliance in Paris and Descartes University/La Sorbonne. She’s now a teacher at Lycée Français.

Samuel RICIUTI- Samuel is from Moselle, France, close to Luxembourg. He has lived with his wife in Baton Rouge for 3 years where he teaches French in a high school. He also teaches acoustic recording for a French immersion class in a middle school in Baton Rouge.  He has a master’s in Communication and a doctorate in Music Sociology. He has worked for 7 years in French and Canadian schools and high schools. He has managed a music label called Chez.Kito.Kat records for 10 years and he works with artists all over the world.

Salima BOUARAOUR- Salima is from Moselle, France. She has a master’s in Art and has been certified to teach lower and high school since 2003. She worked for a year in Montreal as a teaching assistant and has taught Social Studies in an immersive middle school in Baton Rouge since 2014. She has been the president of the music label Chez.Kito.Kat records since 2006. She also plays and coaches roller derby.
